FAITH PROMISE GIVING
WHAT IS A FAITH PROMISE?
A Faith Promise is a commitment made between you and God to give regularly and help fulfill God’s plan to reach people around the world with the Good News of Jesus.
After you make a Faith Promise, no one will follow up with you about it. Faith Promise Giving is above, and beyond your tithe (the first tenth of your income). Turning in a Faith Promise card merely allows the Missions Board to know how much the church has available to give to support missionaries.
WHY SHOULD I FILL OUT A FAITH PROMISE CARD?
When you turn in a Faith Promise card, it allows the church’s Missions Board to know how much the church has available to support missionaries for the next 12 months. Each year we ask that you fill out a new Faith Promise card so that the Missions Board will be able to plan for the next year.
WHAT HAPPENS IF I CAN'T GIVE MY FULL FAITH PROMISE?
All of our missionaries raise their own support through donations given by multiple families and churches. If one church or family can no longer support a missionary, it doesn’t take them out of the mission field.
HOW DOES THE CHURCH USE MY FAITH PROMISE GIVING?
Our church gives to missionaries out of a Missions fund that is separate from tithes. All funds given through Faith Promise Giving goes directly into the Missions fund and is paid towards missionaries and outreach organizations; none is used by the church in any way.
